A cup that arrives quietly, from far away.
IRUDA is a Korean word meaning to arrive, to reach. Our first blend takes its name from Eungam, the Eunpyeong-gu neighborhood in Seoul where our roaster grew up and spent close to 31 years.
Arong is the miniature schnauzer who was his companion for 17 years. Both blends carry a name that belonged to something real.

The roast and its philosophy
Roasting beans dark is not what we do. It is about giving each cup the distance the bean has travelled from far away and the memory of the land that raised it — understanding the character of every green bean deeply, and roasting it with a recipe that draws out its fullest appeal. So that it reaches you at its very best, we roast each order only after it is placed.
That is what "delivering" means to IRUDA COFFEE — an unadorned cup, yet one that makes no compromise. In front of a small roaster, writing it down one day, one cup at a time.
